Located in Southeastern U.S. and will cover accounts throughout the country with up to 60% travel the Account Manager is responsible for growing and retaining H.B. Fuller’s market share and customer base while achieving sales and profitability targets. This role manages complex sales cycles, develops strategic customer relationships, and applies technical expertise to deliver customized solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong business acumen and a passion for driving customer value.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of regional accounts with revenue responsibility of $10M–$20M.
- Develop and execute account strategies to achieve sales, volume, and margin goals.
- Lead complex sales cycles involving negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Deliver technical product demonstrations and independently resolve customer issues.
- Identify and close new business opportunities, contributing to 30% business development.
- Promote H.B. Fuller’s value proposition and innovative technologies to customers.
- Provide expert insight into customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Mentor and support junior sales team members.
- Ensure compliance with EHS standards and internal sales processes (e.g., Salesforce).
- Prepare accurate forecasts, reports, and territory plans.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, mechanical, chemistry, or marketing-related field.
- At least 6 years of relevant B2B sales experience (internal candidates must meet performance criteria).
- Proven ability to manage complex accounts and technical sales processes.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the territory.
- Up to 60% travel
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (25 kg).
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in flexible packaging industry, adhesives, chemicals, or manufacturing industries.
- Demonstrated success in value-based selling and price optimization.
- Familiarity with supply chain, substrates, and application equipment.
- Ability to analyze market trends and provide strategic customer insights.
- Sales Excellence training or equivalent certifications.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $95,000 - $124,000. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible to participate in the Sales Incentive Plan.In addition to your salary, H.B. Fuller offers employees a competitive total rewards package including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognitions programs, health & wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off and paid holidays. Eligibility may vary.
