Position Title: Buyer
Location: 6th October City, Cairo, Egypt
Position Overview
H.B. Fuller seeks a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities and ensure the timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials for manufacturing operations. This role collaborates with Supply Chain, Planning, Sourcing, Finance, and suppliers to maintain inventory targets, optimize procurement processes, and ensure uninterrupted production. The position contributes to cost savings, supplier performance management, and compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support supply chain KPIs through effective procurement and material planning
- Place and manage purchase orders, confirmations, shipping schedules, and supplier invoices
- Coordinate material availability with Planning and Operational Scheduling teams
- Monitor inventory levels and maintain agreed safety stock targets
- Collaborate with sourcing and supplier teams to resolve material and delivery issues
- Evaluate supplier performance and support cost reduction initiatives
- Manage procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures
- Support audits, quality processes, SOX compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, communication, and supplier management skills
- Authorization to work in the applicable location
Preferred Requirements
- Experience working with international suppliers and global procurement teams
- Knowledge of inventory management, planning, and manufacturing processes
- Experience supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
