Job Title: Logistics Supervisor
Location: 6th October City, Cairo
Position Overview
The logistics assistant (export) reports to the logistics Supervisor. The role of Logistics Assistant to assist the logistics department in all aspects of Export logistics activities. Ensure that all outgoing shipments are intact and accurate, review shipment documentation, will have direct contact with third-party logistics service providers & give a summary to the logistics Supervisor. Monitor the shipping schedule of all the shipments & give an alert in case of any change.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Request & evaluate quotations related to outgoing shipments.
- Review the export shipping documents before sending them to the customs clearance agents.
- Send the documents to the customers to review before sending the originals.
- Monitor the shipping schedule of all the shipments & give an alert in case of any change.
- Coordinate with the customers/ allied sites to review the shipping details.
- Coordinate with the warehouse team to arrange the shipping schedule.
- Ensure that the STO, Order are matching with the final shipping documents (quantity-wise).
- Follow the daily reports from the freight forwarders to monitor the status of the shipments under clearance.
- Follow up on the shipments at sea to keep the ETA updated.
- Review the freight forwarder invoices.
- Ensure to send daily, weekly & period reports in time.
- Organize files both manually & electronically.
- Keep & update the actual Avg cost for the different logistics services.
- Create shipments and shipment costs for shipments based on the moving average.
Minimum Requirement
2 years of experience in Logistics filed. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain.
