Position Overview
The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth by developing new business and expanding existing customer relationships within targeted market segments. This role partners with internal teams and customers to deliver technical solutions aligned to business needs. The position focuses on achieving sales targets through strategic territory management, customer engagement, and market insight.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities within assigned territory
Manage and grow existing customer accounts to increase revenue and retention
Develop and execute territory plans aligned to annual sales targets
Build partnerships with customers and distribution channels to expand market presence
Collaborate with technical teams to deliver application-based solutions
Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and sales performance tracking
Analyze market trends and competitive activity to inform sales strategy
Deliver presentations, proposals, and negotiations to stakeholders across organizations
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field
7+ years of business development or direct sales experience with new business generation
3+ years of experience in automotive, adhesives, or fastener-related markets
Demonstrated ability to manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through close
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%
Preferred Requirements
Experience selling adhesive applications or technical solutions in industrial markets
Background collaborating with cross-functional technical and commercial teams
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills
Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship requirements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $135,000-$158,000.In addition to your salary, H.B. Fuller offers employees a competitive total rewards package including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognitions programs, health & wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off and paid holidays. Eligibility may vary.
