POSITION OVERVIEW
The position of Site EHS Co-ordinator reports directly to the Operation Manager, and is responsible for all sites in ANZ region.
The key objectives of this role is :
- Responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of the Environmental, Health and Safety policies and programs to ensure corporate and local compliance
- To ensure that all plant and equipment is always kept in safe operating condition and are available for use at all times.
This role will be responsible, in conjunction with the Global Engineering and EH&S teams, for ensuring that our manufacturing processes at this site are optimized for safety, productivity, quality and reliability
PRIMARY DUTIES
EH&S – Fully support and contribute to facility safety programs specifically regarding Management of Change, Process Safety Management [including HAZOP/Process Hazard Analysis]. Manage plant systems to maximize employee safety and minimize environmental risks.
What your responsibilities will be:
- Drive Safety Culture: Collaborate with operational managers to embed a strong safety, quality, and compliance vision.
- Support the implementation of the safety management system framework.
- Develop, implement, and monitor site specific safety procedures (eg emergency response plans and traffic management plans), and encouraging shared ownership of safety across the workforce.
- Assist with the identification of hazard, assessing risks and implementing preventative measures.
- Maintain and develop relevant Safety Data Sheets
- Assist with incident reporting and injury management use safety management systems available.
- Support the safety training program and run training and toolbox talks.
- Collaborate with site manager and employees to drive safety and compliance.
- Monitor and review relevant country, regional and local safety, and health regulations for their impact upon the plant, its personnel, and its operations
- Conduct inspections with managers to ensure health and safety standards are observed and rectify unsafe or unsatisfactory conditions and practices before incidents can occur.
- Ensuring day to day compliance with EHS legislation and regulatorily bodies such as WorkSafe, EPA, and AICIS

Minimum Requirements
- 2–5 years’ experience in safety roles within manufacturing, desirable.
- Certificate IV (minimum) in WHS, or equivalent (preferred).
- Working knowledge of WHS legislation in Victoria and NSW.
- Understanding of ISO14001, 45001, 11014 and safety legislations
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- CPR/First Aid certification (desirable).
- RRTW Co-Ordinator certification (desirable).
- High standard of integrity, ethical behaviour, and a strong safety mindset.
