Position Overview
The Production Chemist will be responsible for producing bulk cyanoacrylate and performing quality control (QC) testing to ensure product compliance with internal and customer specifications. This role requires laboratory coordination, adherence to quality and safety protocols, and collaboration with the Head of Laboratory to drive continuous improvement in processes and output.
Primary Responsibilities
Produce bulk cyanoacrylate according to established standards and guidelines.
Handle laboratory equipment and supplies safely and effectively.
Document laboratory activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP).
Conduct routine QC testing and support shelf life studies.
Monitor and report analytical test progress to the Head of Laboratory.
Coordinate, prioritize, and plan lab tasks to meet project deadlines.
Ensure final product meets quality and customer specifications.
Maintain chemical stock levels and ensure correct labeling and usage.
Conduct environmental monitoring for Cleanroom areas.
Assist in validation, research activities, and chemical synthesis as needed.
Proactively identify and resolve laboratory issues and suggest improvements.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering discipline.
0–3 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Open to cross-training in various functional areas of the business.
Preferred Requirements
Experience with gas chromatography and moisture titration.
Background in analytical chemistry.
