Position Title: Scientist

Location: Guangzhou, China

Position Overview

Scientist will work closely with commercial teams, operation team and cross function team to drive and track R&D projects entirely, including information collection, preparation, designing, developing, handling formulations, plant support and customer technical support.

Primary Responsibilities

This individual will be involved in a variety of research, development, product modification and raw material alternative activities, including:

  • Abilities to formulate, innovate new product, technology per market-business needs and support successful commercialization of the new product and global product localization.

  • Carrying out experiments to improve product performance and/or continuous cost reduction efforts on current and new formulations.

  • Independently plan and conduct of pilot trials and scale up production by following general policy

  • Regularly communicate with internal technical teams, including China global and regional R&D, sub-lab team.

  • Coordinating and communicating as a member on one or more cross-functional teams (commercial, operation, sourcing, finance) and global teams.

  • Provide technical support to supply chain team and operation and quality department if necessary.

  • EHS & Morals: Comply with EHS responsibilities and company ethical compliance

Minimum Requirements

  • Educational background: Master's degree or above, organic chemistry, polymer science or related chemistry specialty.

  • Working experience: Strong R&D background on adhesives, chemicals or polymers, 3 years’ experience or above are preferred.

  • Working language is English, multinational enterprise or overseas study are priority.

  • Understand chemistry related laws and regulations.
