POSITION OVERVIEW

The Planning supervisor reports to The NJ Plant Manager directly and report to Great China Supply chain manager by dot line.

This Planning Supervisor needs to work together with GC supply chain team and regional Demand and Supply Planning team to keep NJ planning and supplying function operate in a safe, smooth and effective manner.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Demand Strategy Management:

Use 5-year business STRAP as a guideline to develop NJ 5-year operations STRAP, conduct quarterly NJ 5-year operations STRAP review and summarize action plans to management team.

  • Capacity Management:

Perform monthly capacity review for each product line by technology in light of half-year rotated sales FC, then come up with action plans to meet the customers’ demand; Monitor the day-to-day actual production capacity and follow up the production team to resolve the issue.

  • RM planning

Complete the day-to-day RM planning to meet the production requirement.

  • SIFO Management:

Overlook and supervise the RMs supplying, scheduling and production situation, continue to improve our service level and make sure NJ plant can achieve our SIFO target.

  • SLOB Management:

Work as a driver to improve the planning and supplying to reduce the SLOB; to push the production and quality function to improve the quality to mitigate the returns and OOS; To work together and closely follow up with the commercial team to sell the SLOB; To get support with the technical to deplete the SLOB by reworking or tweaking the formula.

  • NPI Management:

Work as a coordinator for all of the NPI to NJ plant, such things as code setting up, EHS review, process and packaging review, RMs procurement, trial schedule, trial result following up, etc.

  • Procurement Activities Management:

Work together with the sourcing manager to make sure all of the NJ procurement activities to be aligned with company policy; Overlook the daily procurement to make sure it can meet our demand in timely manner, in good quality and at the reasonable cost.

  • Run MSC Meeting:

Host the MSC meeting, provide the monthly SC report, develop the action plans to address the gap.

  • Team Management:

Set up the G&O, perform PPA, EDP for all of the reporters in light of the HR policy; Frequently perform the training and coach for the team; Regular to review the team member’s performance and give support to them complete their job; Eventually, to build a strong, efficient and stable planning and procurement team for NJ plant.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, Production, Logistics, Technical, Regional and Global Quality Teams to learn and share new ideas to improve the planning accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness.

BUDGETARY/FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Can approve the operation expense based on DOA

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor degree

  • 5 years relevant working experience

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

  • Good command of English for writing, listening and speaking.

  • Good communication and negotiation skill.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in foreign JV preferred

  • SAP or the other MRPII software experience is preferred.
