Position Title: Strategic Account Manager – Automotive Electronics
Location: Europe Remote (either Germany, Portugal, or France)
Position Overview
The Strategic Account Manager – Automotive Electronics is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the automotive electronics market segment. This role combines management of existing accounts with leading global growth strategies and works closely with OEMs and Tier‑1 suppliers to deliver differentiated adhesive solutions for control units, in‑vehicle infotainment (IVI), advanced driver‑assistance systems (ADAS), and other automotive electronics applications.
Primary Responsibilities
Drives and delivers HBF’s commercial goals
Develops strategy and an account plan for short and long term to defend and grow the account
Identifies customer needs and translates into opportunities
Be the voice of the customer for internal HBF stakeholders (R&D, Engineering, Product Management)
20% of time focused on growth with existing customers
50 % of time focused on growth with new customers
Minimum Requirements
Expertise in automotive electronics applications such as control units, IVI, ADAS, and related systems
Strong working knowledge of automotive standards (ISO, IATF) and reliability testing requirements
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
Preferred Requirements
STEM Degree
Hands‑on experience with adhesive technologies including conformal coatings, thermal management, potting, structural bonding, underfill, and encapsulation materials
Basic legal and European chemical’s regulation knowledge
Strong negotiation skills
