Join H.B. Fuller as a Maintenance Mechanic to ensure safe, efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This role supports preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime and maintain quality standards. You’ll work collaboratively, reinforcing safety practices and contributing to a clean, organized work environment.
Maintenance Mechanic
Mesquite, TX / On-Site
3rd Shift: 11:00p- 7:30a, 2 weekend shifts per month
Pay: $27.00-$32.00/hr based on experience
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures; reinforce with peers.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Operate and maintain forklifts/highboys; complete required training.
- Maintain accurate documentation for repairs, purchases, and inventory.
- Schedule and track maintenance using CMMS to reduce downtime.
- Research and recommend standardized equipment to optimize spare parts.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and plant safety procedures.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Requirements
- Technical certification in mechanical or electrical systems.
- Experience with CMMS software.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Forklift certification.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.In addition to your salary, H.B.
