Position Title: Line Worker
Position Overview: The Line Worker report to the Production Manager/Supervisor
The job holder has the responsibility to operate the equipment and all of its affiliated processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Line Worker / Production Helper reports to the Shift Manager for production use, packaging material into boxes, or feeding bowls.
Able to demonstrate forklift proficiency (pending formal training)
Inspecting Finished Good parts for damage or foreign materials before placing in containers
Package the proper # of parts in each container
Place labels on parts/containers, neatly, as required
Learn other aspects of the Staging, and Packaging Areas of the department.
Follows without exception all work instructions and safety rules, including the use of all PPE and safety equipment
Participates in the general housekeeping of plant and work area
Willing to perform work on any shift, work weekends, and overtime as needed
Assist EQ with changeover or other duties, as needed, to maximize production.
Remove all old packaging materials and properly fill out tags during changeover.
Assist other employees/ lines during downtime with duties such as making boxes, taking out the trash, emptying cardboard, etc.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Minimum Requirements
• Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma
• No prior experience required
• Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.
• Availability to work in shifts
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
