Location: H.B. Fuller Production Site, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom.

As the Supply Chain Manager at the H.B. Fuller Production Site in Milton Keynes, you will assume primary responsibility for overseeing all Supply Chain Planning and Logistics activities. This pivotal role entails leading and coordinating supply chain planning efforts for the Milton Keynes Plant and associated internal/external warehouses. Additionally, you collaborate with other H.B. Fuller legal entities within the EIMEA Region. You will manage inventory valued at approximately £100 million, including Finished Goods and Raw Materials, and outbound freight costs of approximately £1 million per year.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate and enhance the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process, including the utilization of decision support tools and monthly SIOP meetings to establish a synchronized Supply and Demand Plan.
  • Manage Supply & Demand balances for raw materials and finished goods, guiding material and capacity allocation across all plants.
  • Oversee Asset Utilization, Capacity Allocation, and Strategic Capacity Planning, ensuring optimal use of existing assets while strategically installing new capacity to support growth.
  • Determine optimal sourcing strategies for finished products and raw materials based on factors such as lead time, inventory holding cost, and supply chain risk management.
  • Establish and maintain optimal inventory levels by item to meet agreed service level targets.
  • Develop warehousing strategies and ensure accuracy and timeliness of inventory management activities, both internally and externally.
  • Assume overall responsibility for outbound freight transportation, collaborating with sourcing to ensure cost-effective deliveries and tracking carrier performance metrics.
  • Maintain up-to-date Planning Master Data, collaborating with regional business leaders, S&OP Supervisors, and Logistics Planners.
  • Provide medium- and long-term supply/demand balances and ownership of capability and capacity.
  • Manage supply chain costs, including inventory, freight, and warehousing.
  • Set targets for service logistics costs and inventory levels and ensure their achievement.
  • Interface with customers and internal functions to maintain service levels during capacity shortfalls or abnormal demand.
  • Lead a team of asset planners, raw material planners, and logistics supervisors to meet service level, logistics cost, and working capital objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree in SCM/Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • M5+ years' experience in an IT-driven manufacturing/planning environment.
  • Proficiency in Planning, Logistics, and MRP systems.
  • Project Management and Leadership experience.
  • International work experience.
  • Six Sigma experience is highly valued.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in Decision Support Modeling and data manipulation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and linguistic skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative abilities, comfortable working with all management levels.
  • Effective prioritization, problem-solving, and delegation skills.
  •  APICS certification preferred.
