Finance Business Partner - HHC FP&A

Location: St. Paul, MN - Hybrid or Remote, Costa Rica

Position Overview

The HHC Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Partner will report directly to the HHC FP&A Director and will support HHC’s annual and periodic financial planning and management reporting processes. This position supports growth in sales and profitability by providing processes and systems to give analytical insight to business leaders, as well as planning and understanding of actual business results. The HHC FP&A Partner collaborates closely with Finance leaders and business partners for all commercial business segments and global sourcing and operations within HHC to support and drive business growth.

Primary Responsibilities

60% Financial Reporting, Forecast and Analysis

  • Support the HHC financial planning and reporting process including periodic outlooking and forecasting, reviews of monthly results and supporting the annual strategic planning process
  • Support the annual budget process for HHC. Monitor ongoing results against the budget to ensure growth and alignment with the business strategy
  • Support the HHC FP&A Director to define and develop standardized management reporting, performance indicators and dashboards in cooperation with Corporate FP&A for the HHC Global Business Unit
  • Actively participate in the initiatives to educate management on critical metrics through regular reporting and analysis; develop new metrics to capture and measure HHC initiatives as required
  • Support the preparation of the periodic index calculations as required by customer contracts, as needed
  • Cross-train with fellow GBU FP&A partners in order to support periodic absences due to holidays, PTO or leaves of absence

30% Projects and Other Special Assignments

  • As required, support critical business projects and programs; develop sound, well thought through business cases, realistic implementation plans and thereafter play a key role in driving and monitoring execution.
  • Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested by HHC Finance and/or business leadership
  • Create tools to enable the financial evaluation of special projects/circumstances facing the business

10% Continuous Improvement

  • Hold self and others accountable for forecast accuracy, continuous improvement and delivering results
  • Collaborate within the HHC Finance function and the broader H.B. Fuller Finance community to implement standardized global processes to leverage efficiency and improve effectiveness

Minimum Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field or a recognized accountancy qualification OR MBA degree with 5 years of relevant accounting and/or financial analysis experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting and/or financial analysis experience
  • Experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and planning
  • Possess a strategic approach, sound business judgment and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial analysis and commercial finance concepts
  • Must possess excellent analytical skills to ensure accurate preparation and reporting of financial results
  • Experience in designing and implementing strong processes and systems in complex organizations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Fluent in English
  • Regional and international travel (10-20%)
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies:

Preferred Requirements

  • MBA preferred, CPA or CFA designation a plus
  • Experience with OneStream, SAP and Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to coach, motivate and develop geographically dispersed teams
  • Multiple language skills preferred, Portuguese a plus

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000.
