Position Overview
H.B. Fuller’sR&D Pathways Rotational Programoffers recent graduates a unique opportunity to build technical expertise, gain exposure to diverse chemistries, and develop business acumen. As anR&D Pathways Scientist I, you will receive mentorship, lead impactful projects, and contribute to innovation across multiple business units during a 2–3 year rotational experience. This role is based at our World Headquarters in Vadnais Heights, MN.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct and analyze experiments on organic and inorganic substances to evaluate chemical and physical properties and explore industrial applications.
Design and execute experiments to improve or replicate materials, and research new processing or production methods.
Apply and interpret standard scientific theories, concepts, and techniques to support product and process development.
Manage and complete multiple projects independently, drawing conclusions and articulating results, including business impact and value propositions.
Document test results, project updates, and process improvement recommendations using project management methodologies.
Minimum Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science, with expected graduation in Spring 2026.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in laboratory and manufacturing environments.
Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities and laboratories across the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify causal relationships and develop practical solutions.
Experience with technical documentation and communicating scientific findings to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $70,000-$75,000.In addition to your salary, H.B.
