Maintenance Technician II

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, mixers, reactors, and other chemical processing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to restore equipment functionality.
  • Assist with installation, calibration, and alignment of new or upgraded equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards during all maintenance work.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
  • Monitor equipment performance and report issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance without disrupting operations.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and request replenishment when needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Technical degree or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance within chemical or manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in chemical processing.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
  • Basic computer skills for CMMS and data entry.
  • Ability to work onsite in Monterrey, Mexico.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with SAP PM or similar ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM).
  • English proficiency (basic reading and writing).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
