Job Description

The polymerisationworker reports to supervisor Production.
He has the responsibility to run the polymerisation reactors and the affiliated processes under cost/quality and improvement aspects in compliance with legal and company rules regarding EHS. Polymerisation is a hazardous process and requires certain qualification and attitudes.


• Operating of 5 reactors and affiliated processes
o Respecting all legal and company EHS-rules
o Compliance with QA requirements
o Responsible for housekeeping in his area responsibility
o Reporting of his work in the PPS-System
o Following the process procedures and work orders
o Reporting of any deviation from normal
o Documentation of process figures and results (traceability and legal requirement)
o Working in work teams for i.e. continuous improvement, EHS
o Supporting NPI-process
o Cleaning of reactors and all affiliated process areas and work space
o Handling of raw materials, where specific/exact weighing out is vital.
o Reactive Production process, where responsibility and intervention by the operator is required to ensure quality and productivity targets are maintained.
o Full understanding and responsibility for automated systems with batch programming
o Troubleshooting of issues as well as Root Cause definition
o The final packaging of product will be undertaken over a fully automated Filling line
o Full understanding and responsibility for automated systems with troubleshooting of issues as well as Root Cause definition, is a requirement
o Cleaning of reactors and all affiliated process areas and work space

Required Skills


• Education as a chemical worker or similar processes or
• Education in a technical profession, preferable electrical or mechanical business
• 3-5 years experience in similar processes/environment
• Willingness to work in a 24 hrs/7days shift pattern
• Flexibility to work in other areas according to his qualification and production requirements


• Knowledge of chemical reaction processes
• English
• Knowledge of common software programs (MS office/PPS-Systems)
• Is aware of 6 Sigma/lean manufacturing tools


• The Polymerisation process is a hazardous process which requires a high level of attention and sense of responsibility.
• Manual work/lifting, transportation is 20%
• Process control is semi automated
• Temperature/dust and noise is under normal chemical environment conditions
