H.B. Fuller acquired ND Industries in May 2024. ND Industries specializes in the formulation and manufacturing of a variety of materials applied on fasteners and assemblies to aid in critical function such as locking, sealing, masking, lubricating and noise and vibration dampening. 

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and proper maintenance and repair of production processing equipment. This position will oversee all aspects of the maintenance department including managing personnel, preventative and predictive maintenance programs, spearheading maintenance projects and coordinating with Production Team Management. This person should have thorough knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical systems and experience with controls is preferred. A hands- on approach is required to ensure success in our highly dynamic and fast paced production facility.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identify and execute maintenance projects with the maintenance team.

  • Build the team and lead the maintenance department employees

  • Maintain and update the preventative maintenance schedule.

  • Spearhead troubleshooting & task delegation online-down equipment

  • Coordinate repair on electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Issue all purchase order request for maintenance projects.

  • Evaluate maintenance support staff for training needs.

  • Plan and oversee repair and installation activities.

  • Identify critical spare parts, monitor inventory, and re-order as necessary.

  • Keep maintenance logs.

  • Manage relationships with contractors, outside service providers., suppliers and internal engineering department.

  • Positive attitude, focus on continuous improvement and eager to learn about new equipment and processes.


Facility Overview

  • Fastener processing facility which applies sealants, adhesives and lubricants to screws, nuts and bolts.

  • Custom processing equipment and specialized processing methods require attention to detail and understanding to ensure optimized, reliable and safe machine operation.

  • Combination of mechanical belt-style equipment driven by electronic controls and PLCs.

  • Process cooling loop, induction heaters and compressed air are critical infrastructure.

  • Job Shop style production means ever-changing production requirements and schedules

  • New building purchased adjacent to existing building for current and future growth.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or similar field and at least 5 years of experience OR Successful completion of a vocational school or an associate's degree in similar fields and 7 years of experience.

  • Knowledge of and experience with electromechanical machine adjustments, motor speeds, feed rates, and identification of machine problems resulting in down time

  • Experience with induction heaters, Electric Motors, Gearboxes, Drives, PLCS’s, Wiring, Compressors, Process Cooling Loops, and other production equipment.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical issues in the absence of schematics or electrical drawings.

  • Fabrication Skills and general welding & brazing skills

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, schematics, blueprints and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Preferred Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in maintenance as a technician or mechanic

  • Experience with induction heaters, HVAC, Electric Motors, Forklift Repair, Compressor Repair, Process Cooling Tower Experience, Dust Collection

This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require H.B. Fuller sponsorship of a work visa to work for H.B. Fuller.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $100,000 - $115,000.
