Job Title: Sales Data & Reporting Intern
Position Overview
The Sales Data & Reporting Intern will support the Sales Excellence team by contributing to data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of sales processes and tools.
This role is designed for an entry-level candidate with strong analytical skills and attention to detail, who is interested in learning how data, reporting, and automation support a global sales organization. The intern will work closely with senior team members to support reports, dashboards, and improvement projects using tools such as Excel, Salesforce, and Power BI, while developing practical skills in data-driven problem solving and process improvement.
Reporting & Data Analysis Support
· Support the preparation and updating of standard sales reports using Excel, Salesforce reports, and Power BI dashboards.
· Assist in validating data used in reports, checking for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
· Help document report definitions, metrics, and data sources to ensure clarity and consistency.
Continuous Improvement & Automation Projects
· Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on simplifying, standardizing, and automating sales-related processes.
· Assist in identifying repetitive or manual tasks in reporting or data handling and proposing improvement ideas.
· Support small automation or efficiency projects under guidance (e.g., Excel-based automation, process documentation, basic workflow improvements).
· Help test new reports, dashboards, or process changes and document outcomes.
Data Quality & Cleanup Support
· Assist with data cleanup activities following clear guidelines (e.g., outdated records, missing fields, inconsistencies).
· Support periodic data quality checks and help track progress against improvement actions.
· Document recurring data issues and support root-cause analysis with senior team members.
Cross-Functional & Project Support
· Support collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams by helping prepare data extracts or summaries for reporting and analysis.
· Assist with project tracking, documentation, and status updates for Sales Excellence initiatives.
· Support preparation of materials or data for onboarding or training related to reporting tools and processes.
Minimum Requirements:
· Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Economics, or a related field.
· Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
· Solid Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data organization).
· Interest in data analysis, process improvement, and automation.
· Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
· Comfortable working with structured processes and repetitive tasks when needed.
Preferred (not required):
· Exposure to Salesforce, Power BI, or other reporting tools (academic projects, coursework, or internships).
· Basic understanding of process improvement or automation concepts.
· Experience working with data sets (class projects, internships, case studies).
· Curiosity about how technology can improve business efficiency.
What the intern will learn:
· How sales data is structured and used to support pipeline management and business decisions.
· How reports and dashboards are built and maintained in Salesforce and Power BI.
· Practical approaches to continuous improvement and automation in a business context.
· How to work with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT.
· How data quality and process discipline impact commercial performance.
