Position overview:

The Senior Salesforce Developer reports to the IT CRM Manager, IT Application Services, and has primary responsibility in the Salesforce CRM solution. The resource will design, build, and implement scalable Salesforce solutions, working closely with business stakeholders and other developers to gather requirements and develop technical solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and architect scalable and efficient solutions on the Salesforce platform, considering the organisation's business requirements.
  • Collaborate with HB Fuller stakeholders, including business analysts, managers, and other developers, to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and implement custom solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, following best practices and coding standards when needed.
  • Customise Salesforce functionality through configuration and code (when needed), including the creation of custom objects, custom fields, flows, validation rules, and others.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems, such as ERPs (SAP mainly), marketing automation (Marketing Cloud would be a plus), or customer support platforms using APIs or middleware.
  • Perform data migrations and ensure data integrity during the migration process.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the team related to the Salesforce platform and its integrations.
  • Collaborate with Salesforce administrators to support user management, security, and permissions.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to other developers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Be responsible for making deployments and for implementing a tool to automate deployments (CI/CD for instance, Visual Studio Code, Azure DevOps)
  • Be responsible for making test classes and ensuring maximum code coverage, in accordance with Salesforce best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Salesforce platform features, releases, and best practices and apply them to ongoing projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors in BA, CS, or MIS plus 8+ years of related IT experience
  • More than 8 years of working experience in CRM technologies.
  • More than 6 years working as a developer in Salesforce solutions.
  • Experience with the deployment process, working and implementing deployments solutions (e.g.: CI/CD),
  • Experience with custom configurations, building process flows, integrations with ERPs (mainly SAP)), business functional discussions, and solution design.
  • Experience with Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud developments is required. Data Cloud is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities.
  • Experience with Salesforce integration techniques and tools, such as REST and SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including object-orientated programming, design patterns, and database concepts.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools to implement projects (e.g., Scrum, Azure DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory (written, reading, and spoken skills).
  • Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II, Salesforce Marketing Cloud are highly desirable.
