What you can expect from H.B. Fuller’s Internship Program:

You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across Portugal. We hire interns in the following positions: T&E, Sourcing and Credit and Collections. 

The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. We also offer an established path for next-level opportunities – making this internship the starting point for a long-term career path.

Our Internship Experience includes:

  • 2 months paid program beginning the beginning of July to the end of August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.

Position Title: Credit Management & Data Quality Intern

Position Overview

This internship focuses on improving credit management processes through master data optimization and customer financial analysis. The intern will review and clean customer master data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness within ERP systems. Additionally, they will assess the financial health of key customers to support informed credit risk decisions. The role combines data governance and financial analysis to strengthen credit risk management practices.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Master Data Management

  • Conduct audits of customer master data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP or equivalent).

  • Identify and resolve data issues such as duplicates, missing fields, and inconsistencies (e.g., tax IDs, credit limits, payment terms).

  • Propose standardization rules and data correction procedures.

  • Validate customer information using external sources such as credit bureaus and official registries.

  • Document findings in a Master Data Quality Report.

  • Recommend improvements for ongoing data governance and data quality control.

2. Financial Review of Customers

  • Collect and analyze customer financial statements and credit reports.

  • Calculate key financial ratios, including liquidity, leverage, and profitability.

  • Review payment behavior using aging reports and historical data.

  • Develop preliminary credit risk scores for key customers.

  • Suggest credit limit adjustments based on risk assessment.

3. Deliverables

  • Master Data Quality Dashboard (before vs. after data cleansing).

  • Customer Financial Review Report including key metrics, risk classification, and credit limit recommendations.

  • Process improvement recommendations for credit management workflows.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently Pursuing bachelor’s degree in finance, Management, Accounting, Economy

  • Minimum rising junior or senior in Business, Finance, Technology, Operations, or a related discipline.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English
