IT Analyst - ITF - Inventory To Fill

PRIMARY DUTIES

This individual will be involved in a variety of activities centered on the organization’s core systems. The primary customer base served includes internal business users. Areas of focus include: 

  • BUSINESS ANALYSIS [80%]
  • System sustain activities; investigating, analyzing and resolve issues logged by business (super)users.
  • Gather and document business requirements from small to large sized business application projects globally and cross-functional.
  • Serves as the expert in the ITF area. Knowledge and configuration skills of following processes:
    • Warehouse and Inventory Management (WM, IM)
      • Configure and implement new plants and WM managed warehouses
      • Cycle count process with WM and IM
      • Transfer requirement & transfer order process, stock allocation, batch management
      • Picking and putaway strategies
      • Storage unit management, storage bin types
      • Integration with RF gun hardware and respective configuration
      • Integration with production staging
      • Internal and external warehouse processes, bin to bin, inventory movements between locations
    • Transportation
      • Shipment and shipment cost processing
      • Routes & route determination
      • Price conditions for freight calculation
      • (3PL) EDI related to transportation
      • Transportation planning
    • Shipping
      • Experience with configuration and implementation (deliveries, master data, output)
      • Outbound EDI with (3PL) warehouses. Idoc processing, integration, process setup and maintenance
      • Concept of returns, inter- & intracompany, subcontracting & consignment.
      • Pick List creation and picking process with RF gun transactions.
      • Reports for shipping activity monitoring
    • Receiving
      • Inbound delivery processing
      • Shipment and shipment cost processing
      • Putaway with RF gun transactions
      • Inbound EDI with (3PL) warehouses. Idoc processing, integration, process setup and maintenance
      • Reports for receiving activity monitoring

In addition to these, this person also:

  • Works with business to support day-to-day issues, define and document business requirements for small or larger changes.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task and be self-motivated while working with others.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Thorough testing of changes and fixes.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, strong experience interpreting test results & drawing conclusions
  • Test developments and changes and work with business team members to execute test cases. 
  • Prepare and deliver recommendations or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in systems across the organization.
  • Develop business process knowledge to solve business and technical problems independently.
  • Drive to implement new and/or more efficient processes. Focus on improving the system.

  • DOCUMENTATION & COMMUNICATION [20%]
  • Document business processes and business requirements.
  • Ensures that process documentation is created and maintained.
  • Conduct effective, on-going communication, both written and verbal.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4-year degree or Bachelors in BA, CS, or MIS.
  • 5 or more years of related IT/business experience.
  • Advanced skills in SAP WM, LE.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in other SAP modules related to WM/LE.
  • Knowledge and working with HPQC /HP ALM.
  • LSMW, ABAP (interpretation, debugging) and queries.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

  • Basic office or virtual (home office) environment
