Position Title: Buyer

Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE Onsite

Position Overview

The Purchase executive/ Buyer will report to the Supply Chain Manager with responsibility of developing and executing purchasing strategies to provide business-building innovation, assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising stewardship. This role will have responsibility for all purchasing activities and deliverables for RAK site. Management of both internal functional and external relationships is important on a day-to-day basis with an eye for long-term growth.

Primary Responsibilities

Procurements for Direct Raw Material, Indirect Items, Finish Goods & Packaging Material: -

  • Follow define procurement processes to ensure on time delivery of Local RM & Import RM, Import FG as per the production plan & Customer Orders.

  • Assist to Manage the short term and long-term purchase planning of the plant.

  • Assist for Local raw material supply,

  • Assist for FG import (Intercompany shipments), in accordance with the global policies and co-ordination with the EIMEA Sourcing department.

  • Assist for Import of products from Global HB Fuller Sites & Global suppliers.

  • Follow Supply Chain define SOP’s.

  • Assist in process for FG Imports according to the customs/excise/import polices.

  • Purchase invoice passing and handing over the purchase documents to accounts.

  • Follow up of Vendor Payments & Ensuring Compliance to Payment Process

  • Statutory

  • Follow Implemented EXIM processes in the Purchase department, assist to fulfilling all requirements of the Excise, Custom and Import law.

  • Adherence to Global Sourcing Policy.

  • Prepare MIS report of Purchase activities.

  • Import clearance tracking managing documentation, following with local agents and vendors

  • Coordination with Sourcing, Planning, Warehouse team for smooth flow of supply.

Audit

  • Assist Internal / External Statutory Audits in compliance with HBF Legal Norms as well as local statutory codes as applicable.

P&L responsibility

The individual is direct responsible for all costs in the XCHEM plant that are linked with the Purchase department Assist in Inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Support in Shipping and Inward costs Support in Import costs and duties.

Minimum Requirements

  • The individual has a good set of people skills (communication, decision making, teamwork etc.)

Preferred Requirements

  • Chemical/Mechanical Engineer, BSC/MSC Chemical, MBA.

  • Good Knowledge of Excel & Microsoft Point

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

Complete if appropriate based on position.

  • Corporate office environment

  • Extensive computer work

  • Position may require physical activity such as filing of documents.

Working Model – On Site

Duty hours – Mon-Saturday (8:00am – 5:00pm)
