Customer Service Office Clerk
Santa Fe Springs, CA
1st shift, M-F (8:30a-5p)
Position Overview
The Customer Service/Office Clerk role reports to the Business Manager and assists in the flow of customer orders, keeping accurate files, and other clerical duties while performing the following:
Primary Duties
- Order entry for customer orders
- Obtain shipping information from customers, call in pick-ups and coordinate with shipping/receiving department; provide tracking information to customers
- Prepare and manage a “hot orders/must ship list” for production/shipping departments.
- Communicate any shipping, hot order, or customer changes to production manager with urgency
- Handle all customer contact databases
- Daily correspondence for payment on past due invoices
- Files correspondence and documents as necessary
- Maintains files in an organized and accessible manner to include updating information, purging files on a regular basis and creating new filing systems as needed
- Assist in various office tasks which may include but limited to; answering the phone, routing calls, sorting mail, inventorying office supplies and preparing orders for Business Manager to place.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Associate Degree in Business Management, Supply-Chain Management or related field
- 2 years of experience required in similar role
- Manufacturing experience
- Able to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent phone demeanor and maintaining professionalism
- Ability to learn in-house software programs
- Fluency in English required.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
