Position Title: Technical Service Engineer III
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Technical Service Engineer is responsible for supporting Engineering adhesive / Hygiene, Health & Consumable / Building adhesive solution (EA/HHC/BAS) business products in Korea. The primary function is to assist on lab evaluations pertaining, generating reports and presentation on evaluated results and proposed adhesives. Also assist on the need basis for customers in properly using products, customer trials, troubleshooting customer products/process problems. Above support must be with an objective of providing value-added activities that strengthen Korea business relationship with customers. Training Korea business personnel, manufacturing representatives and customer representatives as requested is also important in the role.
PRIMARY DUTIES
This individual will be involved in a variety of activities including, but not limited to:-
- (40%) Technical support on all lab evaluations related to adhesives and products. This evaluation will assist on customer troubleshooting, demonstrations, and improvement projects.
- (20%) Attend customer troubleshooting, demonstrations, and improvement projects on the need basis.
- (10%) Provide feedback on the performance of products with suggestions for potential improvements when needed to regional and global lab.
- (10%) Assist in the market introduction of new products through the development of customer and sales training materials.
- (10%) Maintain a broad based and in-depth knowledge of competitive products and the technology involved in EA/HHC/BAS industry.
- (5%) Work with customers and suppliers to resolve any product or customer processing issues that may adversely affect H.B. Fuller’s position as a preferred supplier.
- (5%) Train other EA/HHC/BAS business personnel to conduct similar customer sessions once the programs have been established.
Minimum Requirements
- Education in High School, Vocational or Bachelor’s Degree of Science/Engineering.
- Fresh graduates or experienced professionals are encouraged to apply.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in multiple languages will be an added advantage.
- Possess a valid driving license.
- Ability travel regionally on short notice, 20-30% of travel required.
- Proven success in development and implementation of technical programs and platforms
- Proven ability to work closely and collaboratively with customers at multiple levels, including technical, sales and business management.
