Job Description


Responsibility includes assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising stewardship in support of our internal & external customers. Will have support responsibilities to include a variety of project-related work and daily management tasks related to material sourcing, demand fulfillment, formula localization, cost savings and price reconciliation. The system responsibility includes, but not limited to: price updates, invoice discrepancy resolution, quality claim, regulatory compliance, and vendor registration. Focus will be on both day-to-day operation and strategic activities, and with an eye for improving the way work is done.

REPORT LINE: A/P Category Sourcing Manager, and be member of global category team


50%        Sourcing

20%        Sourcing Support

30%        Transactional – System Work

  • Sourcing: Own direct material sourcing and involve indirect material sourcing assigned

  • Sourcing Support: First line of contact with Plants and Suppliers to resolve material issues; Request for Quotes/Samples, Bid Analysis, Volume Tracking for Rebates and against contracts for compliance with business commitments, Perform periodic analysis of $ spend; Ensure compliance in ERP and other systems.

  • Additionally: Comply with Sourcing’s best practices, policies, and procedures; Maintain/update supplier profile; Track supplier quality performance; Assist business intelligence.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or above major in chemical or polymer materials, and 3 years’ experience in chemical sourcing functions, experience working with ERP systems, 3 years’ experience in chemical industries, self-motivated, can function with little/no daily direction setting from manager

  • Demonstrated strong desire and innate capability to learn, and with good business acumen

  • Skills: Problem solving capabilities, strong communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, excellent written and verbal skills in English

  • Demonstrates proficiency in the following competencies:
