Position Title: Technical Service Engineer
Location: Suzhou, China

Position Overview

The Technical Service Engineer is mainly responsible for supporting the business development of Auto & BTRS team and providing doe, FAB, new application development and other professional technical support for fuller automobile product line. Have the ability of sizing equipment adjustment, sample preparation, process problem handling, complaint handling and analysis, and carry out daily research, sample preparation and performance test of products or applications in the laboratory.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist the business to complete new projects or application development, ensure that there are enough resources to meet customer needs.

  • Provide technical support for customers, solve application problems, and ensure continuous and stable application.

  • Evaluate the performance of new products and conduct sample preparation and testing in the laboratory.

  • Compare the testing products with H.B. Fuller's products, find out the gap and deficiency, and provide the basis for customers to better recommend or improve the products.

  • Develop test methods to ensure that existing and new products meet customer expectations at home and abroad.

  • Provide accurate performance problem description and all necessary documentation for product R&D department.

  • Handle customer complaints, ensure customer complaints are resolved and try to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct technical exchange and training for internal and customers independently.

  • Be able to independently operate or demonstrate the gluing and pressing equipment commonly used in Auto industry to ensure the normal sample preparation or production.

  • Good interdepartmental or external communication skills and interpersonal relationship.

Minimum Requirements

  • College or Bachelor's degree or above in mechanics or chemistry.

  • Knowledge of adhesives and their applications.

  • Knowledge of industrial or automotive manufacturing process.

  • Attention to details, process and problem-solving ability.

  • Clear and accurate expression ability, can effectively communicate with internal and external customers.

  • Good English writing and oral communication skills.

  • Effectively manage time and set priorities for tasks.

  • Project management concept and sensitivity to market trends.

  • Able to present professional image to internal and external customers.

  • Be able to carry out effective self-management and actively improve work.
