Maintenance Technician

Objective of Role:

Maintenance Technicians are involved in the day-to-day preventative and reactive maintenance activities but also heavily involved in process improvements and project work across all areas of the business. There are elements of trouble shooting when presented with a machine breakdown or process issues but can be escalated depending on complexity. Reporting to the maintenance team leader and working within a team of skilled maintenance staff and engineers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining plant and equipment such as reaction/mixing vessels, decant stations and pumping systems.
  • Conducting safety and condition checks and on plant and equipment across the site but mainly in your designated area.
  • Inputting and tracking maintenance activities on the computer system Emaint and keeping records up to date.
  • Planning Maintenance activities, reactive or preventive, and communicating with the Planning and Production teams.
  • Permit writing (level dependant upon sign-off and experience).
  • DSEAR (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulation 2002) awareness
  • PID (Pipework and Instrumentation Diagram) awareness
  • Writing/preparing Training documentation
  • Ensuring RAMS are in place for the activities being conducted

Knowledge & Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a relevant discipline
