Position Overview

The Production Manager leads manufacturing operations at the Tamworth site, reporting to the Plant Manager. This role drives a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to meet customer requirements. The position collaborates with regional and global teams to implement systems and processes that elevate Tamworth to best-in-class performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Champion safety as a core value and ensure compliance with all regulations.

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including housekeeping and 5S.

  • Mentor and develop Team Leaders and field experts to build an engaged workforce.

  • Align Tamworth operations with site and company strategic priorities.

  • Implement management systems to monitor and improve performance.

  • Ensure on-time delivery of quality products that meet customer needs.

  • Manage operational and capital budgets, driving cost control and efficiency.

  • Foster collaboration across commercial, supply chain, HR, finance, and R&D teams.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and manage expectations effectively.

  • Promote H.B. Fuller competencies such as innovation, accountability, and teamwork.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific/engineering discipline or equivalent qualification (e.g. HNC, NVQ) or relevant work experience.

  • 5+ years of progressive operations experience in manufacturing.

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong coaching, communication, and collaboration abilities.

  • Ability to manage conflict and escalate issues appropriately.

  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience leading change in manufacturing environments.

  • Organizational development and team-building expertise.

  • Process Safety Management experience.

  • Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt).
