Position Title: Production Operator
Location: Tamworth, UK (On-site)
Shift: Permanent shift, Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM (No weekend or bank holiday work)

Position Overview

H.B. Fuller is seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join our team in Tamworth, UK. This on-site role reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for operating production equipment and processes including raw material preparation, packaging, unloading, and labelling. The ideal candidate will contribute to high-quality manufacturing standards while ensuring safety and efficiency across operations.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging: identify and measure required quantities and transport to production areas.

  • Operate processing equipment according to procedures and instructions.

  • Monitor equipment to maintain optimal run rates.

  • Conduct initial product testing and releases in line with specifications.

  • Ensure accurate labeling and check all packaging materials.

  • Package finished products in compliance with H.B. Fuller quality standards.

  • Maintain clean and safe work areas in line with company and legal EHS rules.

  • Record process start/finish times and report any deviations.

  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Production Manager or Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic education, High School diploma or equivalent.

  • No prior production experience required.

  • Familiarity with MS Office or similar software.

  • Ability to follow written instructions, including safety and quality standards.

  • Understanding of basic English and Maths.

  • Availability to work the specified shift schedule.

Preferred Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

Physical Environment

  • Standing for extended periods.

  • Walking and climbing stairs.

  • Manual handling: lifting boxes, reaching, stooping, and bending.

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds with assistance.

  • Exposure to typical industrial conditions (temperature, dust, noise, and chemical odors).
