Position Title: Production Worker - Decanting Operations
Location: Tamworth preferably - Hybrid/Remote (Optional) Full time ( 37.5 hours)
Shift Pattern – PM Shift
- Monday–Thursday: 14:00–22:00
Includes a 40‑minute break (20 minutes paid, 20 minutes unpaid). - Friday: 12:00–18:00
Includes a 20‑minute break (10 minutes paid, 10 minutes unpaid).
Flexibility to work overtime as operational needs require is essential.
Position Overview
The Production Worker is an experienced manufacturing operator responsible for the safe and accurate decanting of adhesives and coatings using primarily manual and semi‑manual equipment, including air‑powered diaphragm pumps. The role requires a high level of process understanding, system discipline, and attention to detail to ensure products are packed, labelled, and recorded correctly. The position also involves extensive use of SAP S/4HANA to execute production transactions and control inventory, while maintaining full compliance with safety, quality, and ATEX requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with all mandatory PPE requirements.
- Maintain accurate production records using physical documentation and the SAP ERP system.
- Perform manual handling of materials and finished goods up to 22 kg.
- Decant finished products in accordance with specified weight requirements.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and site regulations.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with senior operatives and colleagues.
- Promptly report any EHS concerns, near misses, accidents, or incidents.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and continuous improvement.
- Carry out any additional tasks or duties as directed by the Team Leader.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- Basic qualifications in Mathematics and English.
- Ability to consistently lift items up to 22 kg.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and system entry.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
- Clear and effective communication skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to develop new skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience using SAP (training will be provided as necessary).
- Previous experience working with chemicals or within an ATEX‑controlled environment.
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence (advantageous but not essential).
