Position: Quality Control Lab Technician
Location:  
Toronto, Canada
Shift: Second Shift 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM (or 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)

The Quality Assurance Technician reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible to assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality standards for the packaging components, chemical raw materials, and finished products. You need to maintain elements of quality and reliability methods, standards, and systems to ensure contracted quality requirements for products and services are consistently achieved. This position requires a willingness to work swing second shift as listed below.

Primary Duties:

  • Tests and approves raw materials and bulk production, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria
  • Inspect, sample, and test finished goods and intermediate components, troubleshooting any suspected quality issues
  • Convey raw material and product quality issues with management
  • Performs actions to resolve issues and implement corrective measures.
  • Assists in troubleshooting problem processing and packaging production.
  • Performs calibration of lab equipment
  • Ensure certificates of Compliance/Analysis accompany appropriate shipments
  • Perform record keeping and record generation to attain and retain certification
  • Update and maintain the Bill of Material system and maintain quality system by frequent auditing of all processing and packaging processes
  • Follow and ensure workplace operating and environmental, health and safety procedure and guideline compliance
  • Participate in quality and reliability testing activities related to ongoing product improvement and new product development

Required:

  • College Diploma
  • 1+ years of experience in a chemical manufacturing lab
  • Willingness to work Second Shift of 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM  (flexible of 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM based on transit)
