The Accounts Payable Processor I ensures timely and accurate payments to vendors while maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. This role reports to the AP Supervisor and plays a key part in supporting payment cycle activities and compliance.

Primary Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day payment cycle activities and provide efficient client service
• Generate weekly payment batches by entity
• Monitor and process utility payments by entity
• Oversee automatic payments by entity
• Issue manual checks as needed
• Post all payments in the system
• Reconcile bank statements to confirm payment debits
• Ensure proper payment approvals
• Provide Treasury with payment-related cash flow information
• Continuously improve payment processes
• Support implementation of departmental best practices
• Document processes to support business continuity
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements

Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of Accounts Payable experience, or 4 years general finance/accounting experience
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping and AP principles
• Strong customer service and negotiation skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Availability to work overtime as needed
• Effective communication and listening skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines
• Second language required: English-Portuguese

Preferred Requirements
• Experience with Prism / Procurement and JDE systems
• Demonstrated operational excellence and adaptability
• Strong documentation and process improvement skills
• Ability to model collaboration and customer focus
• Self-management and accountability for results
