Primary Responsibilities

Data Warehouse Development

  • Design and implement data warehouse architectures (star/snowflake schemas)
  • Develop fact and dimension tables for reporting and analytics
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models

ETL / Data Integration

  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Microsoft tools
  • Integrate data from ERP (SAP S/4 HANA), CRM, APIs, and flat files
  • Optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost

Microsoft Technology Stack

  • Develop solutions using SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse
  • Work with Azure SQL Database and Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, OneLake)
  • Support integration with Power BI semantic models and reporting

Performance & Optimization

  • Improve query performance, indexing, and partitioning
  • Monitor and resolve data pipeline and system issues
  • Ensure data quality and consistency

Data Governance & Security

  • Implement validation, auditing, and error-handling processes
  • Manage access controls and data security compliance
  • Maintain technical documentation

Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with analysts and business stakeholders
  • Support dashboards and reporting solutions
  • Participate in code reviews and best practices

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in data warehousing or BI development
  • Strong expertise in SQL Server and T-SQL
  • Experience building data pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, or Spark/Python notebooks
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory
  • Strong data modeling and ETL/ELT design experience
  • Experience integrating data with Power BI
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Lake Storage
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Data Warehouse concepts)
  • Understanding of medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
  • Experience with Azure DevOps or Git
  • Knowledge of data governance or master data management
  • Experience working with financial, operations, or supply chain data
