Title: Operational Treasuryand Cash Applications Team Leader

Location: Trés Rios, Costa Rica and Hybrid

Overview

This position is responsible for posting Corporate Treasury activities, record bank statements, general bank administration in a daily basis, as well as give audit support and period-end activities. Cash Applications and Operational Treasury Team Leader reports to GFS RTR Manager and has responsibility to oversee for LATAM (including Brazil) and Australia and New Zealand cash application processes.
The job holder should ensure transactions are timely and accurately performed in compliance with Company policy and legal requirements and support process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Operational Treasury Activities
•    Responsible for the booking of bank activity for banks.
•    Support other departments within RTR (chief accountants, intercompany, others) to ensure timely bookings and resolution of any queries.
•    Establish strong network with key stakeholders to provide partnership through quality service delivery and timely issue resolution – C&C, A/P.
•    Follow-up and understanding of Intercompany Loans and other financial products.
•    Support with bank related queries – general bank administration, bank connectivity, compliance reviews, KYC, legal signers update, general inquiries.
•    Manage shared mailboxes and provide timely support.
•    Book period-end Journal entries performed by Corporate Treasury (intercompany interest accruals) and guarantee that supporting documentation is in place.
•    Complete period-end close activities as assigned (checklists, reclassifications, etc.).
•    Review and resolve intercompany differences at period-end.
•    Perform period-end account reconciliations (banks and IC loans).
•    Support for internal and external (USGAAP / statutory) audits, including preparation of PBC work papers
•    Perform other duties as requested.
•    Ensure all SLAs are delivered in a timely manner.

Cash Applications activities 
•    Supervise all operational activities for LATAM (including Brazil) and Australia and New Zealand cash application team.
•    Perform monthly analysis of unapplied cash and take corrective actions.
•    Establish strong network with key internal stakeholders – C&C and provide partnership through quality service delivery and timely issue resolution.
•    Work jointly with other areas such as A/P and GL to ensure timely resolution of issues/questions.
•    Ensure timely and accurate Bank Reconciliations (Bank Statement to General Ledger). 
•    Develop and monitor key performance indicators for the cash applications group.
•    Complete month-end close responsibilities as assigned (JEs, account recs, etc.).
•    Support preparation of weekly Cashflow Forecast with accuracy and timeliness. 
•    Ensure all SLAs are delivered in a timely manner.
•    Perform other duties or assignments as requested.

Intercompany Activities
•    Supervise activities intercompany for Brazil.

Global process harmonization and automation
•    Develop best practices and harmonized cash application processes across regions.
•    Identify areas that require development and drive process improvement initiatives through the implementation of either automation or more effective / efficient processes.
•    Create process documentation, drive standardization and process efficiencies.
•    Search and propose small process changes to the implemented process that will turn it more efficient (automated JEs, automation of tasks).
•    Comply and support all Statutory and Group Audit requests including preparation of PBC work papers.

Compliance
•    Maintain and develop SOX, as well as HB Fuller procedures compliance all times.
•    Ensure the team complies with company policies and procedures.

Team development and support
•    Lead and manage the team to ensure backups and talent pipeline.
•    Discuss and establish personal development plans with direct reports.
•    Set clear G&Os for direct reports.
•    Frequent communication with team and monitoring to ensure objectives are delivered.
•    Complete performance reviews based upon execution of their responsibilities and progress against established personal objectives.
•    Coach the team individually and collectively to develop new competencies: analytical, controlling, and behavioral, for career development.

Requisitions

• At least 4 year of leadership experience & at least 4 years of related work experience
• Bachelor's or University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field

• Advanced business ERP system knowledge - SAP FI. Totvs is considered a plus.
• Microsoft Office tools proficiency including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced English level, Beginning-Intermediate Portuguese is considered a plus.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Organized, motivated professional with excellent analytical skills.
• Independent and proactive with desire for continuous improvement.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with direct reports and other teams. 
• Ability to solve problems, maintain confidentiality, communicate at all levels
