The Strategic Account Manager – ePower & Storage develops and owns a strategic plan for assigned accounts and drives execution through expert communication, coordination, and influence. This role will operate in H.B. Fuller’s dynamic ePower and Storage division where the Strategic Account Manager will lead sales activities with H.B. Fuller’s Thermal Interface Materials (TIMs), Patented Thermal Propagation Prevention Foams, Sealants, and Structural Adhesives. The typical customers are global automotive OEMs and Battery Manufacturers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead engagements with Key Accounts by identifying key stakeholders, program and project decision makers, and promoting H.B. Fuller solutions to the right customer teams

  • Manage the sales process from Opportunity Selection to Negotiation and Maintenance

  • Work with cross-functional teams with stakeholders from legal, finance, R&D, and operations to drive large complex customer projects forward

  • Manage CRM data to accurately project pipeline volume, close dates, and other financial data and to support commercial excellence initiatives to improve sales effectiveness

  • Analyze customer needs and competitive solutions to deliver tailored proposals that highlight H.B. Fuller’s competitive differentiation

  • Boldly negotiate multi-issue contracts to secure the optimal value for H.B. Fuller

  • Accurately forecast project financials to enable effective prioritization of projects with cross functional resources

  • Work with cross-functional customer teams to specify H.B. Fuller products in 3–5-year programs

  • Align customer development roadmaps with internal R&D projects to ensure a strong customer needs driven innovation pipeline

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3 yrs of industrial sales experience

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and deliver tailored solutions

  • Team-oriented with strong influence management skills

  • Valid driver’s license  

  • Ability to travel up to 50%  

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical, mechanical, marketing, or chemistry

  • 5 yrs industrial sales experience

  • Experience with strategic planning and portfolio management

  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and other reporting tools

This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Applicants must have U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require H.B. Fuller sponsorship of a work visa to work for H.B. Fuller.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $100,000 - $120,000.
