Experienced local Scientist with strong skills around Analystical techniques and tools
The successful candidate will have established experience with a range of analytical techniques such as gas, liquid, and gel permeation chromatography, infrared spectroscopy and NMR. The successful candidate must be able to apply a fundamental understanding of a broad range of analytical techniques to the characterization of adhesives and complex polymers. Candidates must have strong fundamental chemistry knowledge (organic, analytical, and physical chemistry). They must have a talent for identifying the underlying causes of problems and for making relevant measurements to provide data and information that drive technical solutions.
The candidate must be capable of independent work but also able to work with multifunctional teams to enhance characterization efforts. This person will be required to partner effectively with global teams including research scientists, chemists, product development engineers, technicians, and end use customers to prioritize work as necessary. In addition the successful candidate must maintain current knowledge of innovations in analytical techniques and lead their implementation.
- B.S. or 4 year technical degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry or Materials Science) and minimum 3 year industrial experience.
- 3 years + gel permeation chromatography (GPC), infrared spectroscopy and NMR.
- Experience analyzing adhesives, polymers, paints, or coatings
- Project Management Certification or course work
