What you can expect from H.B. Fuller's Internship Program:

You’ll be joining a cohort of talented students from a variety of schools across the U.S. We hire interns into the following positions: Process Engineering, R&D, Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sales, Supply Chain, Product Marketing, Information Technology, and more.  

The projects we task our interns to lead are impactful and meaningful to our organization. You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions. We also offer an established path for next-level opportunities - making this internship the starting point for a long-term career path.

Internship Location: St. Paul, MN (Remote)

Our Internship Experience includes:

  • 12-week paid program beginning the end of May to mid-August to gain insight and knowledge in your field.

  • Interactive orientation and events with skilled professionals in your field, including managers, directors, and CEO.

  • Multiple networking, volunteer and fun events – both virtual and in-person.

  • Impactful projects that make a difference internally and externally for H.B. Fuller.

  • End of summer final presentation to showcase your career development with support from managers and peers.

Position Overview:

This Marketing Intern will be part of our global Hygiene, Health and Consumable (HHC) Adhesives Product Management and Marketing (PM&M) team. The HHC PM&M team is responsible for market research, voice of customer, product line segmentation strategies, value proposition, development of marketing content, new product development and commercialization, brand management, and strategy.

Primary Duties:

This Marketing Intern role is an opportunity to part of a collaborative environment where you can build new skills and gain professional experience. Some of highlights of this summer intern project include:

  • Own a project the HHC business

  • Partner and develop relationships with your manager, marketers, sales professionals, and key business partners to learn critical details about products within the HHC business

  • Translate product learnings into value for the business and propose strategies for bringing the value to fruition

  • Build and demonstrate project management skills

  • Learn how functions across HHC and H.B. Fuller collaborate to drive growth in the market

  • Formally present your project overview, findings, and recommendations to leaders at the end of the summer


  • · You’ll be supported by your Manager and Mentor to gain in-depth knowledge of the adhesive industry and collaborate with various departments and functions such as marketing, sales, research and development, and key business partners, to complete your project

  • This role will be required to take initiative to complete the activities planned and utilize tools and resources to gain understanding of the complete scope of your role

  • The intern will demonstrate project management skills, learn how different functions collaborate to help drive growth opportunities in the market, develop relationships, think strategically and creatively, request and give feedback

  • Deep dive into some of the key products within some of the HHC business units


  • Currently pursuing bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Technical or related field

  • Candidate must be a self-starter with curiosity, ambition, and willingness to learn and build relationships across many functions to complete project

  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel), and have good oral and written communication skills

  • Must have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and be comfortable with video calls (i.e. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.)

  • Office environment or possibility to work remotely
