Senior Sourcing Analyst

Location: St. Paul, MN

The Global Strategic Sourcing Senior Analyst for H.B. Fuller is a critical role with responsibility including assurance of supply, superior cost management and uncompromising stewardship in support of our internal & external customers. They will have system responsibility including, but not limited to, price updates, invoice discrepancy resolution, and vendor registration. The Senior Analyst will have additional support responsibilities to include a variety of project-related work and daily management tasks related to material sourcing, usage tracking and forecasting and price reconciliation. Senior Analyst may also source their own materials ensuring total best value and supply assurance. Focus will be predominantly on day-to-day activities, but with an eye for improving the way work is done (e.g., system improvements).

This role reports to a Principal Sourcing Manager and directly supports 1-3 managers/directors on the sourcing team.

Responsibilities vary by day and include but are not limited to:

Transactional Support: Updating Pricing, Invoice Resolution, System Support
Sourcing Support: First line of contact with Plants and Suppliers to resolve payment issues, Assistance with Request for Quotes, Bid Analysis, Volume Tracking for Rebates and against contracts for compliance with business commitments, perform periodic analysis of $ spend, ensure compliance in ERP and other systems, and assist in preparation of bid requests/analysis of bids.  May have own some direct sourcing, but is not majority of work plan.

The Senior Analyst must comply with Sourcing’s best practices, policies, and procedures. Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner. Manage minimum and maximum order quantities and total volumes.

Training Provided: As potential for direct Sourcing, will obtain all training of management level plus training on specific systems. Two week Sourcing skills training. Plus any training specific to the role required for proficiency.


Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 2 years experience in Sourcing functions, indirect experience ideal but open to indirect or direct sourcing.
• Knowledge/experience working with S&OP/ERP/payment systems.
• Self motivated, can function with little/no daily direction setting from manager.
• Demonstrated strong desire and innate capability to learn.
• Competencies required include strong problem solving capabilities, communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, excellent written and verbal skills in English, other languages desired (e.g., Spanish).

Preferred Requirements:

• Master’s degree and 1+ year of related experience.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
