Position Overview:
Supply Chain/Logistics Analyst style role who would be exposed to the daily activities of the group while focusing more on data analytics with a fresh pair of eyes.
Primary Duties:
In this role you will optimize production and freight cost efficiency by analyzing materials that can be manufactured at multiple H.B. Fuller sites. You will also assist Master Planners in reducing slow-moving and obsolete inventory for all hotmelt and waterbased/polymer facilities in North America while also participating in weekly rework assignments and monthly Supply & Demand planning for each site. We have a long 'tail' of slow-moving materials, meaning a high number of SKUs with relatively low individual value, but when taken as a whole, represent a large opportunity to reduce our overall inventory.
The focus of the SIOP team is on the higher value materials, and they undertake detailed reviews and actions to get rid of this inventory. This role would focus on the lower value materials and focus on:
understanding why we have ended up with slow moving material (lost business, inventory issues, lot sizing etc.)
looking at options to consume material and work with master planners to realize these actions
fix any master data etc. to ensure we do not end up with more material (eg. deactivate material, recommend adjusting BOMs to point to an alternate raw material)
Additional projects within transportation will include tare weight validations. There is significant opportunity to cleanse tare weight (packaging and pallet weight) data in our ERP system. Incorrect tare weight can result in significant reweigh and over capacity charges. This also leads to inaccurate costing and under billing of prepay and add freight.
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour based on college degree. In addition to your salary, H.B. Fuller offers employees a competitive total rewards package including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognitions programs, health & wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off and paid holidays. Eligibility may vary.
