Our Timeline What to expect
Everything you need to know about the recruitment process
Apply
Time it takes to apply online. Applying online takes between 10 and 15 minutes.
After you submit your application. If you meet the minimum requirements for the position, your application will be sent to a recruiter and reviewed.
When H.B. Fuller will contact you. If the recruiter decides you are a strong job candidate, you will be contacted for additional information or to schedule an interview.
Tips to a more successful application:
- Apply for all positions you are interested in and for which you are qualified.
- Update your resume/CV and make sure to include your Cumulative Credit-weighted Average (GPA in the United States) and all computer software you have training or experience using.
- Contact information must be included.
- Check spelling and grammar.
- Be specific. We want to know the length of each internship, volunteer and work experience.
First Interview
Location. If you go to college where we recruit, your first interview may take place on campus. But if you don’t or you missed our interview dates, we will conduct a quick phone screen with you and then invite you in for an in person interview.
Interview process and how to prepare. First-round interviews last 45 minutes to 1 hour. We focus on your previous experience, skills and qualifications. We want to hear your strongest answers to all questions, so review your resume and think through how you would answer questions about your specific experience, qualifications and why you would be an asset to H.B. Fuller.
Who you will meet. You might be interviewed by recruiters, hiring managers, employees who are university alumni or leaders. They’ll be interested in learning more about you and sharing information you want to know about us.
What you should bring. Bring extra copies of your resume/CV– especially if you’ve made changes since applying online. Bring an unofficial transcript and examples of your college work including projects and presentations.
What you should wear. We want you to look and feel your best. Make a great impression by dressing business professional.
Offer
When you will receive an offer
- For internships we extend offers during the fall semester.
- For recent graduate full-time positions, we extend a majority of offers in November. In cases that do not follow our normal timeline, we typically extend offers within 2 to 3 weeks of the first interview.
